Predecessors
There have been many guitar-like musical instruments in the ancient times, up to at least 5,000 years ago. Instruments which look like the guitar were seen in statues which were recovered in archeological expeditions in the Iranian region of Susa. However, the very first documented mention of the instrument dates back to the fourteenth century. Back then, the said guitar-ancestor had three pairs of strings (usually referred to as double courses) and a single string with the highest tone.
Some say that the word “guitar” came from the word “qitara.” Qitara is an Arabic name for the different kinds of lutes during the early times.

Kona Tobacco Sunburst Electric Guitar
This is the new beautiful tobacco sunburst strat made by Kona. The paint job on these Kona guitars always amaze me. This guitar is painted with the classic orange tiger stripe which fades into black trim that wraps around to the back of the guitar. The head stock is painted to match, a very nice touch. I often talk about styles of guitars in my auctions. Each guitar is made for a specific style of play. I favor this strat because it can easily handle both rhythm and lead guitar play. Versatility is always a big plus when I choose a guitar.
This new Kona tobacco sunburst electric guitar comes loaded with three great pickups. Two open face single for great lead play and one open face hum-bucker for all your rhythm needs. To aid you in finding your tone this guitar also has a five way switch, one tone and one volume knob for simple operation. As a final touch this guitar is complete with chrome hardware. Very nice
